Hotfix Update, Goals Update, 50% Funded!
Hi Everyone!
First, a huge thank you to everyone who has purchased the game, backed a special rewards tier, left a rating and review, commented, and generally helped spread the word so far about Absurdia. I've been absolutely blown away by the reception so far, and I'm so excited about the future of this game.
Goals Update
Speaking of the future, I've sketched out some additional detail about the itchfunding effort to make Absurdia into a fully complete and immersive game. The main game page has been updated with the following goals:
- $2000: Layout and Graphic Design - At $2000, I will bring on a graphic designer to bring the core book to life and banish those long blocks of text from existence.
- $3000: Additional Artwork - At $3000, Kaylee Rowena, who did the fabulous cover illustration, will return to create full page illustrations for each chapter of Absurdia.
- $3500: Digital Assets - At $3500, I will bring on a certified Bureaumancer to create form-fillable playbooks, GM disturbance sheets, and other digital assets to make the game easier to play online.
- Stretch Goal: Writing - Above $3500, I will partner with writers in the tabletop community to develop a fully fleshed out setting that can be easily picked up for one shot play.
I'm thrilled to announce that we are already 50% towards being fully funded! You can help us reach our remaining goals by leaving a rating and comment, recommending the game to a friend, and spreading the word on social media using #AbsurdiaRPG. Every little bit helps!
Hotfix Update
A few folks have kindly pointed out a couple errors and inconsistencies between the core book and playbook sheets. I've posted updated versions of both documents that address these issues. For those interested, here's the hotfix changelog:
- Corrected an inconsistency on the Curio refresh between different sections of the core book
- Corrected Curio playbook sheet to reflect that one of the "Take another Curio move" improvements should be "Gain another Curio item"
- Corrected the Zeitgeist playbook sheet to have 4 harm boxes instead of 5
- Removed a bit of spare text under the "Creative Destruction" move on the Scrapper playbook sheet
